From Maine to California & All the Places in Between

As a seasoned professional my career has had many numerous twists and turns. Can you relate? I’ve successfully run impactful nonprofits, marketed film and television in Hollywood, launched a leading social mission venture capital firm, stewarded a holistic retreat center, convened and facilitated thousands of social entrepreneurs, and have been at the helm of several national business networks. This trajectory has provided many important insights and lessons - personally and professionally. The through thread has been my enduring passion for empowering and supporting extraordinary leaders.

I have always been guided by an insatiable curiosity to learn and a desire to serve. My passion lies in empowering and mentoring extraordinary social change leaders.

But my story begins long before, on another coast.

As a young girl in Maine, I was fascinated by the power of storytelling. Post college, dreams of a career in journalism led me to my first job in the film industry, which meant a move to the starry city of Los Angeles.

I soon realized working in broadcast news often meant focusing on what was wrong in the world, and it literally broke my heart. I am grateful for that experience, as it illuminated my desire to make a difference and a need to work with people who were making the world better.

My next bold step was to make a significant life path adjustment. I dug in and began to reflect on my mission and purpose while diving head first into a personal and spiritual journey of discovery. This passionate exploration led me to many healers, lots of practitioners, hundreds of books, tutelage with an acupuncturist, and numerous classes on yoga, Reiki and meditation.

You name it … I explored and studied it. I was a seeker then, and I am a seeker now.

When I stepped back in, I carefully chose my next position at the helm of a premier network of socially responsible CEOs whose mission was at the center of business, community and spirit. I had finally found my people! They helped me discovered the power and possibilities of business to do good in the world.

After working with some of the best social change leaders on the planet, I arrived at my own intersection – where I feel called to share the gifts that have transformed my life.

(Read more about that here.)

It was during this period that I fostered my love for entrepreneurs, networks and innovation. I began to integrate my personal exploration experiences with my livelihood. To say I have never looked back would be an understatement and deny the passion I have for this integration.

I am committed to this work and to those who want to bring it fully into their lives. This is where I want to be … this is what I want to do.
